Routine questions regarding child care such as vomiting, colds, cough, diarrhea, fever, rash, sore throat, etc. can often be answered by our frequently asked questions page. Any pediatric telephone triage will be handled by our staff after 10 AM during office hours.
For life threatening emergencies ( severe choking, respiratory distress, fever in an infant younger than 90 days) , tell the caller to immediately call the emergency medical services (EMS) 911. This should be handled quickly by taking the child to the emergency room and inform the doctor so that she can communicate with the emergency physician to provide proper care of the child.
